About Britain's Pride

Standards

Red Tractor

Produced, transported, processed and packed according to the Red Tractor standards set up by the AFS (Assured Food Standards), which addresses the concerns and needs of consumers by ensuring safe production and harvesting. This is achieved by the use of good horticultural practice with an emphasis on reducing the use of pesticides, the best use of fertilisers and improved protection of the environment.

The standards also cover food safety issues and ensure a final product that is free from contamination, fully traceable back to the field of production and safe to eat.

Quality

Provenance

Interest in provenance has been driven by food safety concerns and increasing consumer interest in food production methods. As a result consumers would most like to see menus include locally sourced vegetables, fruit, meat and poultry. Local food is arguably the most visible form of provenance at present and 59% of British consumers believe it is important to buy British local food. As a company producing in Great Britain we proudly present Britain’s Pride .
